Fifth graders mark their 1,000th Day!

One of the many milestones fifth graders mark in their final year as elementary school students is their 1,000th Day of School. Our fifth graders celebrated their 1000th Day on Tuesday, January 24. This is a significant accomplishment in the life of a student, and creates a reason for students to reflect on their growth as students as well as what's ahead for them. This year, fifth graders are marking their thousandth day by writing a collection of one thousand letters of kindness, gratitude and well-wishes to various groups and individuals--everyone from family members and former teachers to doctors and emergency service works.

She has worked as an art instructor and kindergarten teacher throughout southern New England. Welcome, Ms. Sylvester!
