Donatello

Biography
Donatello was born in Florence, Italy around 1386, the month he was born in is unknown. Donatello spent most of his life in Florence Italy as he was a Florentine Sculptor and worked in a Florentine workshop. He was a very busy person always designing and creating art and sculptures. Also he traveled a lot for short period of times to work on stuff. Donatello mostly created sculptures some of his famous pieces of work include the Funerary Monument, Bronze and Marble statue of David, and lastly he created the Equestrian statue. Donatello's patron was Cosimo de' Medici.

-This piece is very special because it was carved out from a block of marble left over from other artists.
-This piece is very interesting to me because its a life size sculpture at 6 foot 3 inches tall with lots of detail put into it with a nice color from the marble too.
-This artwork is a great piece to represent individualism because it focuses on one person and how people themselves are important to this world.
