Food Safety
By Elijah Stahr
Canned foods can stay fresh for a long time.
Do not freeze or keep in high temperatures. If in the right environment they can last from 1-5 years depending on the food type.
Don't cross contaminate.
Keep raw meat away from other things, like vegetables. Remember to wash things that come in contact with the raw meat.
Make sure to avoid food-borne illness
Make sure to cook foods thoroughly.
Beef, pork and lamb: 145 degrees internal temperature.
Ground meat: 160 degrees
Poultry: 165 degrees
