What's the CCC?
Here at the College and Career Center, my goal is to support students in the areas of college & career readiness to prepare them for life after high school. I want you to feel comfortable using the CCC as a space to process and receive guidance for the following:
- college requirements
- applications
- career education
- financial aid & scholarships
- or any other related questions

Moorpark College Registration Help!
Here are a few helpful reminders if you have not yet registered, or you just need some clarification:
- The Program Mapper offered by Moorpark College is a helpful tool that can help guide your course selection by your major choice.
- If you plan to transfer after Moorpark, you will want to take a look at the IGETCWorksheet, which walks you through your General Education requirements for transferring to a Cal State or UC school. Some program mappers will already include these classes for you!
- The course descriptions and schedule of courses can be found in the Fall 2023 course catalog here .
- It may seem early, but if you are already considering transferring from Moorpark College, there are two upcoming workshops that I suggest attending. Transfer 101 on June 12th and Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) on June 15th
- Counseling Office: I also HIGHLY suggest meeting with a counselor in person when you begin classes in the fall to make sure you have a plan for your time at Moorpark College and are on track to complete the program/certification, or prepare for transfer - whatever your plan is, you want to make sure you are signing up for the correct classes to reach your goals!

College Resources
Choosing a college can be a difficult decision! If you are in the process of comparing which college you should apply to and attend, check out the following websites:
- College Scorecard: Find the right fit - compare colleges in their fields of study, costs, admissions, results, and more.
- GradReports: See how colleges stack up - compare salaries of over 4.6 million college graduates to determine Salary Scores for over 2,281 schools and 885 degrees.
- College Admissions Guide: See what students should be doing each year of high school - finding the right fit, paying for college, etc.
- College Planning Guide for High School Students: See various articles on what to know when you're applying and how to pay for school, etc.
Planning a College visit?
Complete the attached form two weeks prior in order to avoid unexcused absences!
Financial Aid
- FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) is open. It is a FREE application, so file ASAP!
- CADAA (California Dream Act Application) is open to undocumented or Dreamer students. Use these resources to help!
- Skipping it does a major disservice to your potential financial aid opportunities - you may not qualify for the need-based aid, but most colleges need the FAFSA to be completed in order to consider the student for any merit aid, scholarships, and loans.
- If you need assistance, you are welcome to attend a free workshop that will help you fill out the FAFSA, line-by-line, hosted by the Ventura County Community College District.
- California Promise Grant for eligible community college students--must file the FAFSA.
Scholarships
