Every Student Counts, Every Moment Matters!
A Message from Principal Webb
This year Longfellow has established Seymour Stars, a student leadership group for the intermediate grade-level students. The Seymour Stars replaces the older model of Student Council. We believe that all students are leaders and want to capitalize on those strengths. One leadership job that students can sign up for is morning announcements on the intercom, other opportunities that will be starting soon are Safety Patrol, Assembly helpers, Big Buddies, and Spirit Spreaders.
Keep leading Longhorns!
Sincerely,
Kelli Webb

Attention- PLAYGROUND USERS
Our BASP (KEY) has up to 100 students also using the playground after school and actually have first priority when using the equipment. Parents and guardians pay for this program supervision and we ask that you respect this by supervising your child if you choose to play on the equipment after school hours.
The expectation is that ALL students are supervised by parents/guardians if they are using the equipment after school.
Safety is our top priority so we ask that the playground equipment be used appropriately and that all students follow the school rules when using the equipment.
If a student is observed using the equipment without supervision or unsafely, they will be asked to leave immediately.
We will be sharing the playground handbook next week in the newsletter.
Thank you for all of your support.
