Salvatore Taddeo Jr.: Growing Trees
Soil
Having the right mushroom soil mixture is crucial in determining how well-nourished the tress will be throughout their growth. Having mushroom soil that is rich in nutrients will surely help the development of fig trees and its fruit.
Water
Also knowing what kind of water levels your fig trees are getting is a big step in the horticulture process. It is a much more complex operation that it sounds, especially if you want to get the most out of your trees. By adding the appropriate levels of water, approximately two gallons daily , the trees will then develop the ability to grow optimal fruits at an optimal rate.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. says that water, mushroom soil, and continuous sunlight are the foundations of having a healthy fig tree, which can then provide harvests of fruit from year to year.

Leadership Traits that Motivate Employees
For a long time, business leaders relied on fear as a tool for motivating employees. While such perspective on motivation has changed in the past decades, there remains managers who are still trying to figure out how to engage the corps towards going the extra mile. It certainly can be hard to be motivating and assert authority, but it is not impossible.
Keep calm
It’s quite a popular phrase in modern times, but employees appreciate working in an environment where managers refrain from yelling and turning their arms like windmills. Keeping calm demonstrates that you are likely to remain level-headed in stressful situations and be the voice of reason.
Be ethical
On the road to success, you will likely encounter situation that might provide opportunities to cut corners and deviate from the ethical path. Always, always, stay on the ethical road. Doing so communicates to your team that a few setbacks can be overcome; compromising one’s character and ethical judgment is a steep slope to come back from. Honesty will be the best policy in this case.
Give credit where it’s due
The overall success of the team is due to the collective effort of its members. Never forget to compliment and appreciate your team at every turn. Employees will appreciate the show of gratitude, especially where it is due.
Don’t micromanage
Hire the right people for the job and let them perform. Where employees have the freedom to work, they will rarely require constant supervision. If you have to constantly supervise people, you are not hiring right.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr has worked in senior level management for more than 25 years, helping various corporations exceed their targets.
Habits of Successful Real Estate Agents
Every real estate agent is going to have their unique characteristic. Some are flamboyant and brash, others are cool and laidback. If you’ve dealt with realtors, then you know they come in different personality “shapes and sizes.” But what makes an agent successful?
Perhaps the most important quality a successful real estate agent (and professional in any sector, really) must possess is passion. Real estate is a tough business, and many there are many who are skeptical about the housing market. A realtor has to be diligent in their dealings and show commitment to being the best.
They also strive to show the following attributes.
They follow up promptly
A great real estate agent is one who will not waste time to return phone calls or emails. They are happy to stay on the line to calm nerves, and have no qualms about providing the follow up information you requested via email. They treat you like you are the most important client to them, and mirror the client’s communication style.
They are diligent
Like straight A students doing a science experiment, good real estate agents explain their work. When they meet you for the first time, they will explain the whole process, note the potential obstacles, and give a few scenarios to expect. They also adjust on the fly, and communicate regularly.
They build networks
Experienced real estate agents have a broad network of colleagues, lenders, contractors, and valuators on speed dial to help them provide top notch services. They cultivate their networks carefully to the benefit of the clients they serve.

The fig tree bears wonderful fruit that is used in a variety of ways all throughout the land. Figs are an important part of achieving balanced meals full of nutrients throughout the day. Figs are jam packed with calcium, perfect for children who need calcium to build strong bones and adults who can make their bones even stronger. There is so much calcium inside of a fig that half of a cup of figs equals the amount of calcium in half of a glass of milk.
In the United States today, nearly all of the fig fruits that are grown and harvested for mass production are done so within the country. This means that the fig fruit is helping America continue the tradition of enjoying American grown fruits. In fact, 98% of all dried fruit of the United States is grown in sunny California.

Because of the ICC and the students that are learning there, L’Ecole has become one of the local favorites for New York City residents.
Students enrolled in ICC experience a six month program that allows them to jump right into the action of cooking in an actual New York City restaurant that is filled with the real experience of customers in a fast paced environment that this city is known to have.

Salvatore Taddeo Jr. - Planting and Maintaining Fig Trees
He found that the trees themselves can thrive in the New Jersey climate due to their intense hardiness and ability to withstand colder temperatures if properly cared for. Mr. Taddeo tells his customers that they can add value to their property by investing in these trees in addition to providing themselves with delicious fig fruits for years to come.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. urges customers of Sallee Figs to properly plant and maintain their fig trees in order to get the full benefit from them. When you plant them, make sure you have fertile, well-drained soil and a sunny area to plant. Some varieties of fig trees are resistant to cold temperatures. Use fertilizers for fig trees and plant them two to four inches deeper in the soil than it was grown at Sallee Figs. Make sure you water them frequently so they produce abundant crops. Salvatore Taddeo Jr. can help you with any other questions you might have about fig trees.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. is passionate about his businesses and his work within the community of Rumson, New Jersey. He is ready to show you your next fig tree. Visit the Sallee Figs website today at www.salleefigs.com, or email Taddeo directly at salleefigs@gmail.com.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. - Taking Care of Your Fig Tree
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. started a fig tree farm and business near his home in Rumson, New Jersey because he thought that people could enjoy the fig trees of his ancestors’ homelands in the United States. Mr. Taddeo himself was born in Brooklyn, his heritage and family are from Italy. He remembers the fig trees there and their prevalence in so many people’s lives. Mr. Taddeo also knows that fig trees are very hardy plants and can thrive in New Jersey’s climate. He founded Sallee Figs to sell these fine fig trees to people in his community, and beyond, so they can get all the benefits from them as his family gets in Italy.
As Salvatore Taddeo Jr. knows, growing fig trees isn’t difficult if you take basic care of the trees. They don’t need much fertilizer—an annual infusion of fertilizer into the soil as the buds swell in the spring should do the trick. You don’t want to add too much fertilizer because it adds too much nitrogen to the soil, which the fig trees don’t respond well to. Another key action that all fig tree owners must take, according to Salvatore Taddeo Jr., is regular pruning and harvesting of the fruits themselves. Pruning takes care of any less-productive, damaged, or dead branches and keeps your tree from taking over your yard. Be sure you do this in late winter when the tree is hibernating for the season so you don’t injure the plant.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. hopes to see you at Sallee Figs, now online at www.salleefigs.com.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. - Three Tips for Better Construction Management
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. has helped many businesses improve their market share, their value, and their products and services for customers since he moved to Rumson, New Jersey after growing up in Brooklyn. Mr. Taddeo is the owner and operator of Salangi Enterprises, a business consultancy firm that works with many construction companies as clients. Here are Mr. Taddeo’s three most common tips he gives to these construction companies for better construction management:
- Establish and use Key Performance Indicators. Many companies in other sectors use KPIs to manage throughput and ensure that all project goals are being met by all employees. Whether a business is in software or construction, KPIs hold workers responsible for their production and create a culture of accountability. This way, according to Salvatore Taddeo Jr., everyone is working hard towards the same things.
- Make sure your processes can deliver relevant data. Create work processes and management systems that are continually updated with changes in orders and work throughput so that you can get accurate data to manage construction projects.
- Access and use real-time information. Salvatore Taddeo Jr. encourages all of his clients to utilize cloud-based storage of data so they can access it quickly and easily. Getting these systems set up takes time and the skill of a professional IT manager, but once they’re up, they can provide endless benefits to any construction project.

Salvatore Taddeo Jr. - Three Things You have to do Before You Start a Business
If Salvatore Taddeo Jr. knows one thing in this world, it’s how to start a business. He has worked as a real estate agent in New Jersey and he has founded several businesses in the Rumson, New Jersey community. Throughout his long and successful business career, he has seen many new businesses fail because they don’t follow his three tips to starting your business that he has come up with over the years:
- Do what it takes to appear professional. This is a broad statement, but it really comes down to maintaining an image of professionalism that your clients and customers will respond to. You should always find a way to manage your office well and provide a professional setting for your customers if needed. Always invest in your business and keep the lights on so you can gain more customers, which leads to the next point.
- Save to invest in yourself. Part of maintaining your professionalism, according to Salvatore Taddeo Jr., is maintaining your office space and investing in advertising. Save up before you start your business so that you can pay your regular bills (office space rent, equipment, etc.) without getting a single dime in revenue for at least the first six months.
- Find people who can help you and reach out. Communication and networking are essential to growing a successful business. Reaching out to people like Salvatore Taddeo Jr. who can offer consulting services and more can pay dividends down the road.

Salvatore Taddeo Jr. - Qualities A Project Manager Must Have
During his time working as the Director of Facilities Operations and Construction at Bradlee Department Stores, in addition to the many other leadership roles that he has held in the years that followed, Salvatore Taddeo Jr. has been tasked with leading a number of high-end projects that required dedicated leadership and a varied skillset. The most effective project managers all exhibit a number of key traits that make them ideal for the role, with the below being some of the most important.
Goal-Oriented
Good project managers must understand the importance of creating goals within their projects, not only so that they can manage their teams’ time more effectively, but also to provide added motivation for team members. Long-term projects can sap productivity levels if team member’s feel as though they are not achieving anything, so by breaking your project down into multiple goals you provide the team with a sense of achievement each time one of these milestones is reached, rather than having them plugging away solely to achieve the end goal.
Enthusiasm
As mentioned earlier, motivation is going to play a key role in how effectively your team tackles the project you are managing. If you approach any of the tasks involved as though they are a hassle and fail to demonstrate enthusiasm for the work, this is likely to be reflected by team members who follow your lead. As such, it is crucial that project managers are able to demonstrate enthusiasm for any tasks that they are given, as this inspires their teams to do the same.
Strong Communication Skills
Communication is a two-way street and it is crucial that project managers understand this in order to get the most out of their teams. Not only must they be capable of relaying instructions in a concise manner that leaves no room for doubt in regards to each team member’s responsibilities within the framework of the project, but they must also be capable of listening to any concerns or issues raised during the course of the work. Setting up regular meetings that offer team members the chance to voice their opinions not only highlights issues and ideas, but also allows each member to feel like they actually have a say in the course that the project takes, thus improving team morale.
A Logical Mind
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. recognizes that not approaching projects logically leads to poor decisions being made. This is particularly difficult when pressure starts to mount, so it is crucial that project managers are able to keep cool heads and approach each challenge as a problem that needs to be solved, rather than a barrier to the project’s progress. Allowing emotion to dictate the course of your project could lead to poor decisions, for which you will be accountable, so consider the ramifications of your choices carefully.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. - Reasons You Should Play Golf
When he is not busy working as the President and CEO of both Sallee Figs, which produces and markets rare and exotic fig trees, and Salangi Enterprises, LLC, which is a consultancy firm, Salvatore Taddeo Jr. enjoys heading out to the local course and playing a few rounds of golf. He has developed his skills in the game over recent years and is always quick to introduce others to the sport. There are many reasons why you may want to give golf a try for yourself, with the below being some of the most convincing.
Managing Stress
Golf, while challenging, is quite a sedate game that gives you the opportunity to get out into nature and enjoy a little bit of time to yourself. This is ideal for people who are under a lot of stress and need to find an activity that offers them the chance to focus on something other than the issues that are causing their stress. There is also a certain amount of catharsis involved, as there is something immensely satisfying about hitting a long drive or sinking a particularly difficult putt.
It Is A Challenging Game
Golf requires good hand-eye coordination and the understanding of a number of factors, such as wind speed and the lie of the green, if you are going to become a good player. This means that there is always something to learn about the game, whether it be the layout of a new course of improvements to your technique that make you a better player. As such, the game provides a constant challenge, which makes it ideal for those who consider themselves to be goal-oriented people, or those who just enjoy learning new things.
The Social Aspect
Most golf courses maintain local clubs where fellow players will gather to talk about the game and possible arrange a few rounds amongst friends. This offers you the chance to ingratiate yourself into a community of people who share similar interests to your own, thus broadening your social horizons in the process. Not only is this beneficial on a personal level, but you will find that many of the people you meet while playing golf are often involved in business, which may mean that you can network and thus open up connections that could serve to benefit your own work through the opportunities that they can provide.
It’s Good Exercise
Though golf does not offer the same level of high-impact intensity of other sports, Salvatore Taddeo Jr. points out that players still get a great workout. Not only do they develop muscle strength due to repeatedly hitting the ball over long periods of time, but they will also find that walking between holes can serve to burn a few calories as well.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. - Tips For Improving Your Golf Drive
When he is not busy working as the President and CEO of both Salangi Enterprises, LLC and Sallee Figs, Salvatore Taddeo Jr. likes to spend his spare time playing golf. There are many things to learn if you want to improve as a player, but one of the most important is the technique behind executing a good drive. These pointers should help anybody who is struggling to get their play off to the right start.
Visit A Driving Range
Learning how to drive a golf ball becomes stressful if you try to do it on the course, as you are going to end up feeling rushed if you can’t quite get your technique down and there are people behind you waiting to play the hole. Instead, head to the local driving range as this will give you the chance to focus solely on this aspect of your game.
Keep Your Eye On The Ball
A good drive requires a great deal of hand-eye coordination, which is something that novices have a tendency to forget, especially if they have become frustrated after a number of failed attempts. Your swing should be completely natural, to the point where you don’t need to place your focus on it. Instead, keep your eye on the ball and don’t allow any other distractions to affect you.
Favor Technique Over Power
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. is able to drive a golf ball powerfully, but this is because he has worked diligently on improving his technique. Practice your technique to the point where you contact the ball regularly before starting to add more power to your drives.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. - Construction Site Management Tips
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. studied Construction Management while at the Institute of Design and Construction, using many of the skills that he developed in his later role as the President and CEO of T&E Construction Management. Effectively managing a construction site is difficult, not least because you often need to be able to handle multiple teams of people at any given time, so these pointers should help anyone who is struggling.
Create Good Schedules
One of the first things you should do when starting a construction project is create a good schedule that defines the various milestones that must be reached to ensure that the project is finished on time. You need to have a good understanding of the tools and workers who are available to you, so that you can assign tasks accordingly to those who have the ability to complete them on-schedule.
Communicate Often
You should be in constant communication with all of the key stakeholders in the project. This includes any financiers, the client themselves, site foremen and other important workers. This will allow you to receive and provide constant updates on the project, allowing you to determine later courses of action.
Research Your Contractors
As an experienced Construction Manager, Salvatore Taddeo Jr. understands the importance of having a good team to any project. Make sure that you do your research on any new contractors that you are considering hiring, particularly in regards to their areas of specialization and their previous work. Making poor choices could lead to delays in the project and overspending.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. Grows Up Beside Brooklyn History
Salvatore Taddeo Jr., son of Salvatore Taddeo Sr. from Abruzzo, Italy, was born in Brooklyn, one of New York City’s five boroughs, with 2,636,735 residents, sharing a boundary with the borough of Queens. If Brooklyn were a separate city today, it would be the third most populous in the United States. Despite the consolidation with the other boroughs and counties of New York in 1898, Brooklyn has neighborhoods yet today which are ethnic strongholds. Brooklyn today is the site of a great deal of entrepreneurship and high tech startups, while struggling with a loss of affordability in housing.
Brooklyn, New York’s history as a destination for European settlers like the Italian immigrant father of Salvatore Taddeo Jr., is old by American standards, going back to the 17th century with the Dutch village of Breuckelen on the East River of Long Island, New York. The Dutch were the first white Europeans to create a settlement in the west of Long Island, which was at that time occupied by the Lenape, Native Americans who had lived, hunted and fished the area for thousands of years. Breukelen was named for the city of the same name in the Netherlands and was chartered by the Dutch West India Company. The English conquered what was known as New Netherland in 1654 by the English Navy, who renamed the colony the Province of New York after their commander James, Duke of York. The Dutch settlements of Long Island were not organized as a patroon and tenant farmer system such as the Hudson River Valley had developed, and as an agricultural county eventually came to have one of the highest numbers of slaves in the original thirteen colonies.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. wasn’t even a twinkle in his father’s eye in 1776, a year which would see Long Island immersed in the Battle of Brooklyn, Taddeo Jr.’s future home. The American Revolutionary War’s first significant battle and the biggest one of the war, British troops forced the army of General George Washington to give ground on what is now Green Wood Cemetery, Prospect Park and Grand Army Plaza in Brooklyn. Washington himself watched the fighting around Gowanus Creek from a hill on Atlantic Avenue. The Americans were forced to evacuate in the famous withdrawal across the East River of Washington’s entire command and supplies a few days later. Although the British controlled Long Island for the rest of the war, Washington’s intelligence network flourished in early Brooklyn, where Taddeo Jr. would grow up on 66th street generations later. The withdrawal of the British from New York City mandated by the Treaty of Paris in 1783 continues to be memorialized today in relieved celebrations recognizing the date of their departure.
Project Manager Salvatore Taddeo Jr. Grew in Expertise at Bradlees
Bradlees Discount Department Store Project Manager Salvatore Taddeo Jr. met the challenges of achieving the goals of projects while working within the constraints of the budget, time allowed for completion and the size of the endeavor. He prepared the schedule of work and the financial plan, and assigned responsibilities to those he supervised while assuring they understood the requirements they must meet.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. practiced his leadership skills, managing the business plan and budget of the construction plan and overseeing the operational, financial and technological aspects of the work. Coordination with project staff is imperative to keep the lines of communication open and keep work plans on schedule. Taddeo Jr. kept track of project deliveries, the proper development of the design of the project, resolved issues which arose and reported on the project’s progress. The project manager also ensures that legal regulations are adhered to and that initial and final inspections are secured. Taddeo Jr. also followed up with his supervisors and his staff to review success of the final product. Should it become necessary, the project manager resolves conflicts and practices tact and diplomacy in stressful situations which may occur, and adapts his approach to the various situations which come up as the project nears completion.
AS a Project Manager for Bradlees Discount Department Stores, primarily a Northeastern United States company, Salvatore Taddeo Jr. cut his teeth on the reality of leading a staff and executing successful directives. Bradlees was planned early on at the Bradley International Airport; thus, the enterprise was named Bradlees. The first store opened in New London, Connecticut in 1958, and the company was bought by the Stop&Shop grocery chain in 1961. This resulted in any shopping center or strip mall which had a Stop&Shop, also having a Bradlees Department Store. Taddeo Jr. dedicated his abilities to the success of Bradlees for 10 years, working alongside over 10,000 employees of the chain at over 105 stores in 7 different states.
In his own stomping grounds, Salvatore Taddeo Jr. in the Connecticut, New York and New Jersey area, Taddeo Jr. labored to render Bradlees a full service destination, with snack stands and lunch counters. In 1993, food items from Pizza Hut, Taco Bell and Dunkin Donuts were added to those stores which did not have snack stands and to new stores recently constructed. Popular for its TV ads featuring the iconic Mrs. B, Bradlees was known for its familiar jingle. Taddeo Jr. was to leave the chain for work in real estate and merchant processing, as well as an endeavor of the heart in growing fig trees, but while he was with Bradlees Taddeo Jr. gave as good as he got, soaking up experience and discoveries in project management while working to make Bradlees a popular destination for shoppers across the Northeast.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. Attends Institute of Design and Construction
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. completed his high school education and enrolled in the Institute of Design and Construction, a non-profit technical college at 141 Willoughby Street in Brooklyn. IDC is now closed, but its founding goes back to 1947 when Vito P. Battista who was a first generation Italian-American architect and member of the New York State Assembly. IDC held forth a purpose to assist the building construction industry by offering instruction which was about the real world of construction. IDC tried to give a high quality of education for reasonable cost, and wanted students to feel an incentive to continue their education at a higher level. IDC had a structured study program with small classes and professional teachers. The Veterans Administration approved IDC’s program in 1952 and in 1955 became a not-for-profit institution with studies leading to a Certificate in Architecture and a Certificate in Engineering. The New York State Board of Regents authorize IDC to confer Associate Degrees of Occupational Studies in Architectural Technology, Building Construction Technology and Building Systems Design Technology, and the school was approved for Pell Grants, in 1974. ODC became a complete college in status in 1975.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr.’s choice to attend the Institute of Design and Construction enrolled him at one of 6 community colleges in Kings County, New York. The student teacher ratio at IDC was always low, 16 to 1, even up to the year of its closure due to declining enrollment. The tuition at the school was less than half the state average of $16,085.

Salvatore Taddeo Jr. Joins Ancient Peoples in the Cultivation of the Fig.
The fig trees grown by Salvatore Taddeo Jr. like lots of sun and well-drained soil, and can even grow in poor soils with minimal nutrients. All fig trees must have wasp pollination by the Blastophaga psenes to produce seeds. Middle Eastern and Mediterranean climates are especially suited to the fig tree. There, older trees can grow to some significant size and make excellent shade. Urban areas are not suited to the fig, as the extensive root system can cause considerable damage to underground pipes and electrical lines. That same root system, though, enables the fig to grow in the most inhospitable of regions. The fig tree is adapted to extract water from the ground and its roots search for water in aquifers, ravines and cracks in rocks. Thus, the fig tree provides a cooling oasis for plants and animals in areas of intense sun and heat.
Salvatore Taddeo Jr. only grows common fig trees that don’t need fig wasps, which crawls through a tiny hole in the crown of the fruit and pollinates the female flowers inside. The male wasps which are born there deposit wasp semen for the birthing females’ impregnation. The females emerge with pollen from the flowers inside, and find another fig tree to spread the pollen. The edible fig was first cultivated by humans around 9400BC, with fossilized figs found in a Neolithic village in the Jordan Valley. This cultivation would predate human domestication of wheat, barley and beans. As a matter of fact, figs may be the first known proof of human agriculture.
