Don't forget to update your enrollment
I know in the last newsletter and in a few state emails they talked about continuous enrollment which we all took as Yeah I Don't have to do this every year but they meant more about staff being able to help families with challenges re-enroll than actually not touching re-enrollment every year - sorry for the confusion.
National 4-H Week is Oct 2 - 8

After school Adventures are starting at Fulda and MCC in October
4-Hers will examine how our bodies are like machines, simple and complex and what it takes to keep it moving. Machines and kids need many resources to keep them running smooth. We will explore and engage each area of these resources and help 4-hers confident of making good choices for themselves. Each session will include a healthy snack, games, and a project to dive into learning. As always, reflection at the end where the 4-hers will share with others. After school Adventures will meet in the lunchroom of Fulda elementary school from 3:00 - 5:00 on the 2nd Tuesday of each month and at the 4-H Building in Slayton on the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 3:00 - 5:00 pm Sign up at Sign In (4honline.com) under events.

Encourage youth to join the state ambassador service challenge!
The state ambies have created ten monthly challenges for individual youth and/or youth groups to complete and will have social media features supporting each effort.
Additionally, we hope to encourage youth to identify environment-related action opportunities in their local communities where they can also make a positive impact.
Our website is in development and will be shared soon! For now, here are some of the upcoming challenges, and some additional resources:
- September: Clean up a park.
- October: Build bat houses.
- November: Collect and compost pumpkins and gourds.
- Plan it out packet - A resource for individuals or groups to plan out a service project in their local community.
- Service reporting form - To capture the collective impact of Minnesota 4-Hers, we need to collect the data! Encourage your members to submit their projects, regardless of whether or not they are environmentally-focused!
- Check out this map of projects submitted last year.
Apply for the Minnesota 4-H food partner challenge by Oct. 31
Apply online to receive financial support to launch a service project.
Application deadline: Oct 31.
Projects need to be completed by March 31, 2023.
