Origin Or Causes Of This Disorder
- Biological***The biological reason major depressive disorder occurs is because of a chemical imbalance in the brain.A chemical imbalance is caused by medication or just naturally.In most cases of depression people don't biologically become depressed.Most cases are environmental or heredity.
- Environmental---The environment that a person lives in can cause this disorder.If a person lives their life with a lot of negativity it can cause depression.Living life with a lot of stress can cause depression.The loss of a loved one,financial status or trauma can cause major depressive disorder to occur.Anything negative that affects a persons environment can cause it.
- Heredity-If a parent has depression the child is very likely to develop it too.

The anti-depressants corrects a persons mind into becoming less depressed.The drugs don't necesarily make the person happy overnight.It takes time to start working.The depressants alter a persons mind.It makes them think more positive thoughts.The medication corrects the persons brain into thinking less like a depressed person.The medication changes a persons mind.It causes a person to forget negative thoughts and thoughts in general.The medication causes the person to forget.The medication does not make them happy or sad.It can often make the person feel nothing.It can make the person feel no emotion at all.
Therapy Treatments
Cognitive behavioral therapy-is a short-term, goal-oriented psychotherapy treatment that takes a hands-on, practical approach to problem-solving. Its goal is to change patterns of thinking or behavior that are behind people's difficulties, and so change the way they feel.
Behavior therapy- is a treatment that helps change potentially self-destructing behaviors. It is also called behavioral modification. Medical professionals use this type of therapy to replace bad habits with good ones. The therapy also helps you cope with difficult situations.
Psychotherapy- a person with depression talks to a licensed and trained mental health care professional who helps him or her identify and work through the factors that may be causing their depression.
