They will learn a process is a series of steps that help you to meet a goal. They will also learn that chemical engineers use their knowledge of chemistry and math, and their creativity to solve problems.
Second Grade
Students will read the story Saving Salila's Turtle and be introduced to environmental engineering and the idea that engineers design solutions to problems related to the quality of drinking water. They will be able to identify some sources of pollution and possible solutions. The students will learn that engineers design technologies to solve problems.
