One Team, One Dream

Vol. 1, Issue 2 September 7 - 11, 2015

Entering Fall

Hopefully you and your family enjoyed a great Labor Day Weekend. We are excited to be back at school after this short break to continue building relationships and educating all of our 6th Grade students. The academic pace will continue to pick up but as a team we will continue to ensure that the needs of all students are being met by implementing appropriate support systems to help each student to continue to learn and grow.

Grading Information

Parents, the 6th Grade team will use the following weighted grading system to record grades for the assignments your child will do this year:

  • Bell Ringer Activities: 10%
  • Class work / Quizzes: 30%
  • Tests: 40%
  • Homework: 10%
  • Participation: 10%

Additionally, the team has adopted a Zeroes Aren't Permitted (ZAP) policy. Meaning that students are expected to do the work rather than taking a zero.
