Key Strategies
The five key strategies from the video are very strong strategies to use in a classroom setting. They can be used for any grade with being creative and efficient. The videos strategies include; Clarifying, Understanding and share learning intentions, Engineering effective classroom discussions, tasks, and activities that elicit evidence of learning, Provide feedback that moves the learners forward, Activate students as learning resources for on another, Activating students as owners of their own learning.
Formative and Summative Assesments
Formative assessments are to monitor the students learning and offer feedback from the students learning to make adjustments to the teachers teaching and the students learning.
Summative assessments are more of an evaluation of a students learning and achievement in the end of the course.
These combined can help make a great learning experience for the students and guide the teacher with their lesson plans.
Effective Classroom Environment
In order to have an effective classroom you need to have a strategic lesson plan. The video allowed us to see how you can go about having a plan and what plans work in the classroom. I would most certainly use the 5 steps it provides as those seam to be wonderful steps for students to work together and help each other.
