YOUR SURVEYS
a) Walking/Biking: Most of you don't walk or bike to school because it is way too far away and it will consume too much time. Fair Enough. However, if you live close to your school and only avoid walking because of the cold weather, then you should seriously reconsider that because you are actually using up a lot more emission than you normally would.
b) 1 Public Transit Bus: For those of you who use 1 public transit bus, good for you. You are saving both money and protecting the environment. For those who don't, and use cars, you should reconsider this because of reasons listed earlier.
c) >1 Public Transit Bus: For those of you who have to take >1 public transit buses, keep doing so. For those who don't, but could use this instead of cars, you should do so. Although it takes time, you can save both money and the environment as well.
d) School Bus: Unfortunately, for those of you that have already paid the $1400 fee for the "Bus to School" program, you don't have much choice. School Buses do decrease emission than cars, but they are still decent. School Buses are cheaper than cars, but just take more time. However, unlike public transit buses, they bring you straight to your house.
e) Carpooling: Well, we all know that cars have many, many disadvantages just due to the great amount of environmental pollution. If you really have to use cars for disabilities and whatnot, you can. However, it would be a better idea to carpool with someone because then you only emit 1/2 the amount of carbon a regular car would. This should be used as a last resort.
f) Cars: Just avoid them as much as possible.
