Message from Ms. Halliburton
It has been a successful week of STAAR testing for our 3rd-5th graders. We will still have make up testing through next week for those that were absent.
Safety reminder-
Remember that the use of cell phones in a school zone is prohibited. This includes the car line for arrival and dismissal. Thank you for helping to keep us all safe.
Thank you for all that you do!
Husky Strong!
Love,
Ms. Halliburton
News From Mrs. Polanco-Technology Pick-Up Schedule
Good evening!
As we wrap up the year we have to start thinking about collecting all of the devices that have been handed out this year. In order to accomplish this before summer school begins at Huebner, we will be collecting all devices on May 25th (see grade level schedule with times below).
All virtual students will drop off their devices on that day and pick up an asynchronous packet from their teacher. Students will complete one page each day the remainder of the week. Students will submit a picture of their completed page each day via Seesaw or parents will be required to make contact with their teacher once a day as this is how attendance will be taken on those days.
Please mark your calendar for May 25th at your assigned times!

Birthday Treat Packages Now Available Through Cafeteria
Due to COVID-19, we are unfortunately unable to have our monthly birthday celebrations. However, NEISD School Nutrition will now be selling birthday treat packages for parents to purchase to acknowledge their child's special day. Please review this Flyer for all the details and remember to coordinate with your child's teacher prior to placing your order.
Please note that at this time, no outside food/drink is allowed on campus for sharing. Also, balloons and flowers are not allowed in the classroom, so we ask that parents do not have these items delivered to the school.
Wear Your Mask
Also, during this unprecedented pandemic, we ask that ALL parents wear a mask while conducting business at our campus (dropping off/picking up students, dropping off items, etc.).
Please see the graphic below for face coverings that are no longer permitted.
Thank you for helping keep all our Huebner Huskies ... big and small ... safe!
Wash Your Masks!
Using a Washing Machine
- Include your mask with your regular laundry.
- Use regular laundry detergent and the appropriate settings according to the fabric label.
By Hand
- Wash your mask with tap water and laundry detergent or soap.
- Rinse thoroughly with clean water to remove detergent or soap.
Dry Your Mask
- Dry your mask completely in a warm or hot dryer.
Air Dry
- Hang your mask in direct sunlight to dry completely. If you cannot hang it in direct sunlight, hang or lay flat and let it dry completely.
Important Safety Guidelines
- As a safety reminder, school doors unlock each morning at 7:00 AM. Students should not be dropped off before this time as there is no supervision available.
- It is very important that all students arrive to school on time. If you arrive after the 7:40 AM tardy bell and there is no staff at the drop-off area, you must park and walk your student to the front door and sign them in with the front office. It is also vital that all students are picked-up on time at the end of the day.
- Our goal is to ensure safety and minimize disruption to the instructional day. We respectfully ask that students not be signed out from 2:15 PM until the dismissal bell at 2:55 PM. We encourage you to limit picking up students early whenever possible.
- Last minute calls for student transportation changes received at the end of the day present a safety concern. If your student has a change for their way home, please notify the teacher and/or office, in WRITING, no later than 2:00 PM.
- In order to maintain the safety and security of all Huebner students during afternoon pick-up, we ask that all parents remain in their car and follow the traffic pattern for pick-up. Car rider dismissal hang tags are require for all students.
- All parents and guardians who come to our campus will be asked to present a valid government or state-issued ID. Students will NOT be released without proper identification being presented.
- During this unprecedented pandemic, we ask that ALL parents wear a mask while conducting business at our campus (dropping off/picking up students, dropping off items, etc.).
Thank you for helping keep all our Huebner Huskies ... big and small ... safe!
For a limited time, meals are free for ALL students through special funding from the United States Department of Agriculture. You may add money to your child's cafeteria account. These funds can be used to pay for "extra" items.
