Grandparents Day
Our Grandparent's breakfast was amazing!!! Special thank yous to our PTO, Colonel Danner, Mrs. Carpenter, Mrs. Keith, Mrs. Duplichan, Mrs. Bailey, NJHS, JMS Yearbook, and JMS Student Council for all of their hard work putting this together.
The Library looked beautiful, the food was amazing, and the fellowship with Grandparents and students was irreplaceable. Colonel Danner and his Yearbook crew have some fabulous pictures if you want to look through these on the link provided.
Comment from a parent:
I just wanted to let you know that the grandparent’s breakfast this morning was a great experience. From the warm greeting at the door from the students to the photo opportunity, I was very impressed. It was well organized and the students & staff created a very inviting atmosphere. The time spent with the grandchildren allowed them the time to relax all while telling about their school. This was a first for me but I hope that you will continue to do it throughout the years.

Student Attendance
Absences/Attendance Regular school attendance is essential for a student to make the most of his or her education— to benefit from teacher led and school activities, to build each day’s learning on the previous day’s, and to grow as an individual.
When a student is absent, the student must bring a note to the attendance office within three days of the absence. After three days, parent notes may not be accepted and the absences will be considered unexcused. A maximum of three (3) parent notes per semester will be accepted as excused.
Grades
The JISD grade percentages are 60% daily grades and 40% major grades..
