What is a Sprain?
A sprain is a stretching or tearing of ligaments, the fibrous tissue that connects bones and joints. The most common type of sprain is an ankle sprain.
What is a Strain?
A strain is an injury to a muscle or tendon as a result of over-stretching. Any part of the body can get a strain.
How can I prevent these injuries?
How can I treat these injuries?
The best way to treat a sprain and/or strain is to move it as little as possible, apply a little bit of pressure and ice for the swelling, and elevate it. If it is too severe, seek medical attention immediately.
