Ms.Nguyen’s Monthly Newsletter
March 2014
Letter to Parents:
Dear Parents/Guardians,
I am very happy to announced that spring time is finally here! Spring is a time when the flowers are blooming and the animals are awakening. Just like spring, our classroom is growing and learning fun and exciting knowledge this month!
Quote of the Month:
“At the end of the day, the most overwhelming key to a child’s success is the positive involvement of parents.” -Jane D. Hull
What Are We Learning?
Mathematics:
For this month, students are learning how to recognize and count numbers 0-9! They are learning how to do so through music and movements! We are having so much fun learning new songs about numbers and counting! Parents can practice singing the songs at home and in no time, your child will be counting in the tens' place!
Language Arts:
For this month, students are learning how to recognize and produce rhyming words by
singing and moving to the song, “Down by the Bay”! At the end of the song, students are producing their own rhyming words! Parents can practice this fun activity at home with students!
Science:
Students will be learning about gardening by observing a bean sprout grow over the course of this month! Each student will have his or her own cup with a bean sprout and we will, as a class, observe it on a weekly basis during this spring semester! The best part is that, students can take home their bean sprout by the end of the year!
