Grant Awared to TOHH

Michele Girard recently visited Haiti and was inspired by her journey. She shared this passion to help Haiti with her college friend Aoife Ryle, who both attend University of Maine. They were moved into action as they applied for the Kathryn W. Davis Projects for Peace grant. Their efforts in applying for this grant have ended with happiness and hope. Please help us to give them a world of thanks and congratulate them in being awarded this grant, on behalf of TOHH. We expect to have them traveling down to Haiti in summer to install a water tower for the community.

Paul Fallon

Much thanks goes to Paul Fallon who Gama first met working at Be Like Brit. Paul has made several trips to Haiti and worked side by side with Gama. He is the architect who not only drew up plans for the buildings of BLB's orphanage, Mission of Hope's School, TOHH's Guesthouse but also drew up building plans for the community water tower that's going up this summer. It will include two water spouts and a bench for those waiting for their turn. We are forever indebted to Paul's outpouring love and helping us do our part in Haiti.

Work on the Guesthouse

Gama has been relentless in working hard to finish the guesthouse. He has been working on laying the tile, installing doors for the inside of the house and landscaping with grass and trees. In addition to all that, Gama has been working with the Hands and Feet Project to fix the road leading up to TOHH Guesthouse and the Hands and Feet Village. This will ensure safety not only for vehicles to climb the mountain but the road will be safer in muddy and rainy conditions.
