About Graduation

Saturday June 15th at 1:00 PM

Where: Greater Tacoma Convention Center 1500 Commerce Street Tacoma, WA 98402

All Seniors graduating in November 2018, March 2019, and June 2019 are invited to attend and be a part of our graduation event. The entire student body, along with faculty, friends and family are invited to join us. There is no fee to attend and graduates are not required to attend.

Graduation Attire

Graduates are encouraged to wear the official cap and gown for the 2019 Commencement Ceremony. All graduates, regardless of whether they are wearing Insight School of Washington caps and gowns, are expected to dress appropriately for the event. Our colors are royal blue and white. Gowns are blue, tassels are blue and white.

Calling all seniors!!

Submit your Graduation Picture NOW!! During general seating (12:00PM-1:00PM) and while graduates are lining up, we will be playing the Senior Slideshow, showing the pictures you've submitted.

Please turn them in as soon as possible.

Add your Senior photo, best picture or selfie to be part of your Senior Slide show! This will be played at Graduation during the processional and recessional. All seniors are welcome to turn in a picture, even if you can't attend on June 15th!

In consideration to our hosts and fellow guests...

Please no balloons or air horns in the Gym, where Graduation is held. If you are bringing balloons for your graduate, you may place them in the foyer of the Gym during the Commencement Ceremony. There will be a staff member available to watch your balloons.

Individuals using air horns will be asked to leave the Commencement Ceremony.

Timeline- June 15th

9:30 am – 10:30 am Check in

Check in and receive Commencement Envelope – lines according to last name. All graduates planning to walk must arrive no later than 10:00 am.

Prom is open to all ISWA students (all grade levels). We offer a side room for parents who would like to stay and prefer a quieter space .

Code of Conduct
Appropriate behavior is expected before, during, and after the 2019 Commencement Ceremony. Those who do not adhere to our code of conduct will be asked to leave the event. No air horns, noise making machines or balloons are permitted inside of the Gym.

Address Cards
Students will be asked to fill out an address card which will be provided at check-in, inside the Commencement Envelope. In order to ensure proper delivery of diplomas, graduates are responsible for neatly printing their name and full address on the address cards. Your address card will be in your Grad Envelope, which you will pick up when you arrive on June 15th.

Seating at the Commencement Ceremony is on a first come, first serve basis. ADA accessible seating is available. General seating begins at noon.

We do not offer reserved general seating for guests attending the Commencement Ceremony. The RSVP link is to provide us a general number of expected guests, and to allow us to offer adequate ADA seating. If you have a guest attending who cannot comfortably use stairs to reach seating, you can let us know when you RSVP.

*If you or a family member require ADA seating, please be aware that we have limited floor seating and reserve the entire row for our guests who cannot navigate stairs/bleachers. We ask that friends and family members sit in the bleachers behind those in ADA seating, so we are able to provide comfortable seating for all of our guests.

Diplomas will be mailed to all 2019 graduates in August 2019.

Report Cards

Final Report Cards will be mailed to students at the address we have on file. Please update your address immediately if you have moved! To update your address, please email our Registrar at


Transcripts are not automatically sent. To request a transcript, please email with the subject line “Transcript Request”. Include the first and last name of the student, date of birth, and specific information detailing how (fax, email, or mail) and where (address, email, or fax number) you would like the transcript sent.

Not Attending?

Whether or not you attend the 2019 Commencement Ceremony, your diploma will be mailed to the current home address on file in August 2019. To update your address, please email, including your name, birth date, and updated information.
