Spring 2019 NJSLA Assessment requirement
The New Jersey Department of Education has made a last minute revision to the Spring 2019 NJSLA Assessment requirements. We will no longer be administering the NJSLA-ELA or end of course math assessment to the current Junior Class (Class of 2020), effective this spring.
Students in Grades 3-10 are required to continue to participate in the NJSLA, (formally known as the PARCC test).
NJSLA Parent Night
We recently hosted our New Jersey Student Learning Assessment (NJSLA) Parent night for third grade and new elementary families. Twenty percent of the third grade families joined elementary content supervisors and members of our Technology Department. If you were unable to attend, we are making the slides available for your review. The slides are also posted on the district assessment website.

- Hidden in Plain Sight - Monday, March 25th from 7:00 p.m to 8:30 p.m at Crossroads North Middle School
The SBPA continues its focus on keeping our students safe, with its final workshop for the school year, Hidden in Plain Sight, an important workshop on the prevention of drug and alcohol abuse by our children. Presented by Douglas Collier, retired Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) agent and Monmouth University Professor of Criminal Justice, this hands-on, interactive workshop will provide parents with key information on the latest substance abuse trends, signs and symptoms, as well on how alcohol, drugs and paraphernalia can be easily hidden in plain sight in a teenager’s bedroom, bathroom and other locations within a home or car, often right under the noses of unsuspecting parents or adults. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the sensitive nature of the workshop, no one under the age of 21 will be permitted to attend the workshop, however childcare WILL be available for this workshop.
