Hello Cougar Families,


Our staff is extremely grateful to our Community Club for their weeklong surprises to celebrate all of the teachers with breakfasts, special luncheons, personalized tumblers, and so much more! Our school is also thankful for our CAPA parents who delivered generous tokens of appreciation. In addition, a huge thank you to Mrs. Santiago and her family for their unexpected delivery of Costco hotdogs and beverages on Monday, May 3rd for our teachers! Finally, an abundance of gratitude for our WVUSD's support and freshly baked cookies delivered on Thursday, May 6th by Dr. Torres!

    Our choir hosted virtual performances on Wednesday, May 5th with "celebrity" appearances by our staff! Thank you Chaparral choir and Mrs. Davis for a wonderful night full of great singing and Disney Villian-themed tunes!

    SUMMER SCHOOL

    Registration began on March 15th! Our Summer School 2021 courses will be taught by several of our Chaparral teachers. Here is the link to Dedicated-2-Learning for our summer school options with complete course descriptions.

      - May is Asian Pacific American Heritage Month in the United States to commemorate the immigration of the first Japanese to the United States on May 7, 1843, and to mark the anniversary of the completion of the transcontinental railroad on May 10, 1869. The majority of the workers who laid the tracks on the project were Chinese immigrants.

      - May is Older Americans Month, established in 1963 to honor the legacies and contributions of older Americans and to support them

      - May is Jewish American Heritage Month, which recognizes the diverse contributions of the Jewish people to American culture.

      - May is Mental Health Awareness Month (or Mental Health Month), which aims to raise awareness and educate the public about mental illnesses
