Chaperones are needed for Project Graduation! All the fundraising is done- NOW IT'S TIME TO PARTY!!!!!!
It is a time for celebration and graduates often “party hop” in their efforts to celebrate with as many of their classmates as possible, particularly on graduation night. In an effort to create a safer and more memorable graduation night for all of our students, all graduating seniors are invited to attend The Project Graduation Event at iPlay America in Freehold, NJ. Project Graduation provides a safe alternative to party hopping – it keeps all of the graduates off of the roads, prevents any of them from becoming an accident statistic, and allows their parents to rest more easily knowing their son or daughter is celebrating in a safe, chaperoned environment. Project Graduation is an all-night, tobacco, alcohol, and substance free event. Between 80-90% of our seniors attend each year.
In order to make this event possible, we need to provide 30-40 chaperones to iPlay America to ensure our students are having a safe and enjoyable celebration. In the past, parents and older siblings (over 25) of seniors and underclassmen have chaperoned, along with teachers, paras, counselors, and police officers. It’s a one-night investment of your time that will make a world of difference to the success of our event. Will you consider helping us out and volunteering as a chaperone this year? Chaperones arrive at 9:00 pm at SBHS the evening of graduation - Wednesday June 26,2019, some assist with bus check-in and some accompany the students on buses to iPlay America and then spend the evening overseeing and monitoring activities at iPlay America until 4:30 am- Thursday June 27,2019, when it is time to board buses and return home, usually tired, but happy! There is time built in for some fun, food and relaxation for all chaperones throughout the night, so it’s not all work and no play! And no worries about ‘intruding’ on your graduate’s night – with almost 700 graduates in attendance, you’ll rarely see each other!
If you are willing to chaperone, or would like to find out more about doing so, please contact sbhsprojectgraduation@gmail.com. Your time and effort in support of Project Graduation will be greatly appreciated.
Also you can add the permission slip and lawn sign please...
We are still accepting permission slips- don't miss out on your biggest party of the year!
Show your pride and buy a Lawn Sign! It's not too late!
