In the first half of this course, we learned about the changing demographics of the classroom in today's global society. This idea led to understanding how to teach different populations and utilize collaborative learning communities. The course then taught us how to apply these topics in a modern, student-centered, classroom. The main focus of the first few weeks was how to utilize differentiated instruction to provide a better, more positive educational experience for our students.
The second half of our course focused more on the best practices in education, and how we can assess and analyze the learning process. The main themes from the semester give educators the tools to provide the best possible education for today's students. All these ideas are easily accessible and applicable, giving students a wonderful opportunity to learn and succeed in life.
