Parent/Teacher Conferences: May 3, 2016

We will host our final conference hours for parents and teachers next Tuesday, May 3rd from 3:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Please find the link to sign up on our website or by following this link.

Please be aware that several of our teachers are also coaching that evening. To accommodate for this conflict, they are reaching out to students and families for alternative appointments if necessary. If a teacher you would like to meet with is unavailable, please consider contacting him or her directly to schedule a connection.

Online Registration Underway

Students in grades nine through eleven met with Mrs. Meyers this week to begin the course registration process. More information can be found at the following link.

Please note:

  • Students should request 16 courses.
  • Course registrations are due by May 6th.
  • Once course requests are filled, we will complete the process for master scheduling.
  • Conflicts will be addressed after the master schedule is created based upon requests.

Please contact Mrs. Meyers with questions and help your student complete the registration paperwork by next Friday, May 6th.

Career Day

On Wednesday, April 27th, we hosted an event in partnership with the Washburn County Economic Development Center. There were 22 businesses and organizations represented at this event, including food service, medical, education, military, county government, and financial agencies. The feedback from students indicated that 90% learned more about the area businesses from the event and nearly 70% are interested in pursuing further information on a career path that they learned about that day! Our Spooner students represented themselves well as the feedback from businesses indicated that representatives were impressed with the questions the students asked as well as demonstrated interest in their organization.

We are thankful for the connections with our community and value the opportunity to educate students in authentic ways.
