Halo Highlight: Happy Easter, and Enjoy Spring Break!

Dear St. Louis Catholic Community,

As we prepare to celebrate Easter Sunday, we know how hard our students and faculty have been working, so we hope everyone enjoys a break next week! (Just so you're aware, the next remote learning assignments will be emailed Monday, April 20, and will be due Sunday, April 26 at 11:59 p.m.)

LHSAA Update

Today, we officially heard from the LHSAA that all remaining 2019-2020 winter sports championships, as well as all spring sports regular seasons and those respective championships, will be canceled. To read the full LHSAA memo, please click here. We will keep you informed when we hear news from Gov. Edwards regarding the possible opening of schools. If you have any questions or concerns, never hesitate to reach out.

Remote Learning in Action

Mrs. Brunot's English I Pre-AP class studied puns as an element of their unit on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juilet. They began by explaining given puns, then adding their own example in Flipgrid, telling each other jokes that feature the play on words!
Mrs. Richard's Biology II Honors class is studying dementia, and they submitted videos to answer questions for their latest remote learning assignment.

We continue to draw your attention to the Remote Learning Hub on our website that contains teachers' virtual office hours, student & parent tips, Ms. Orgeron's updates, and more.

Ask your student if he/she has attended a Google Meet with their teachers yet! The Master List of office hours is in both the Student & Parent sections of the Remote Learning Hub at https://www.slchs.org/coronavirus/.

Holy Week at Home

Click HERE to watch Triduum: A Spiritual Pilgrimage - a beautiful, 30 minute contemplative documentary with your family during Holy Week. Immersed in the real and sacred places of the Holy Land, the pilgrim faithful is brought tangibly nearer to the story, the landscape, and the reality of the Passion, Death, and Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

And on Good Friday, we'll post to our website and social media the Stations of the Cross videos you've been sending in! Please email yours to rjones@slchs.org and ethompson@slchs.org today. Thank you!
