APRIL PAULINO
ALL ABOUT ME
Early Days
I was born on November 22, 1993 in the Philippines. When I was three years old, my mother and I moved here to Hawai'i to unite with my father and his family. So, Philippines is where I was born but I like to say that Hawai'i is where I grew up. I have lived in Kalihi since coming here to Hawai'i and attended schools in the area.
High School
I attended Wallace Rider Farrington High school. In high school, I was always active in my academics and in leadership clubs, such as student council. During my senior year, I served as a recording secretary for my entire class. Being a part of student council was a major move for me because I am normally a shy person and I do not like speaking in front of people. But, if anything, student council has taught me leadership skills that will benefit me in the long run.

Career Goals
My career goal is to become an elementary school teacher. Being a part of my highschool's Teacher Academy helped push me to pursue this career. I enjoy working with kids! I am currently in my third year at LCC. I am hopeful that by Spring 2014 I will graduate with my AAT degree. After LCC, I plan on attending Chaminade University to pursue my Bachelors in Elementary Education.
