Substances
Substances are single kinds of matter that has specific physical and chemical properties. Water, oxygen, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide are all substances.
Physical Properties
Physical properties are characteristics that describe an object. The volume, color, density, odor, or taste of an object. A small rock would have a small volume, a bar of gold would be really dense, and a lemon would be really sour.
Physical Properties
Clay
Clay is malleable. It can be rolled out.
Plane
Planes have a large mass.
Bacon
Bacon has a very juicy taste.
Physical Changes
Physical changes change the form or appearance of a material but does not change it into another substance. Water freezing and turning into ice is a physical change.
