FINAL REMINDER
Student Class Placements 2022-2023
Dear Linden Community,
We have begun the process of assigning students to an appropriate class for next year.
Our goal is to ensure that each child is in a class that has an appropriate balance of students, teaching style, and to ensure for a smooth and successful transition to next school year. We assess each child's individual needs based upon input from the present classroom teacher, student support counselor, reading specialist, principal and other pertinent staff.
If you feel confident your child’s needs are understood by his or her current teacher, you do not need to submit your feedback.
If you feel the school placement team would benefit from additional information, we have extended the deadline and you are welcome to submit your feedback electronically here by Wednesday, April 20th. You should not name a specific teacher.
Student-class placements will be announced in early August.
Sincerely,
Mike Testani

Personal Safety Curriculum Delivery
Dear Parents:
As part of the Central Bucks School District Elementary Health Curriculum, a unit on personal safety is taught to students in grades K-6. The primary purpose of the K-5 program is to make children more aware of sexual abuse by providing them with information appropriate to their age level as well as help them to develop self-protection skills that will make them less vulnerable to exploitation.
Grade 6 teachers address the “Dangerous Stranger” issue taught in grade K-5 using material which is thematically similar to the materials used in the earlier grades. The grade 6 Internet Safety unit is presented in a contemporary manner by utilizing a PowerPoint slide show about internet safety.
A PDF version of the PowerPoints (instructional curriculum) used in the classrooms can be viewed at: http://www.cbsd.org/site/Default.aspx?PageID=33541.
Parents may also review the video material included in this curriculum by clicking on the following link: https://sway.com/utApIiaU4Y9yttHD
This program will be taught at each Elementary School throughout the school year.
A note from your child’s teacher will alert parents to the specific week that these lessons will be taught.
Should a parent for some reason wish to have their child excused from the program, they should send a written request to the attention of the Principal.
As always, please do not hesitate to call with any questions.
Sincerely,
Mike Testani
