Another Great Week for the Rocks!
- Our girls rugby team placed third at the Rugby Indiana State Tournament this past weekend!
- Our girl's soccer team represented us so well in sectional play but lost a close match to Zionsville.
- Our football team had a great victory against Fishers this past Friday which clinched the HCC Championship title for the second year in a row.
- Our girls and boys cross country teams finished in second place and third place respectively in their sectionals this past weekend and will advance onto the regionals.
- Furthermore, a special shout out to our Pride of Westfield Marching Band who received a Gold rating; with distinction in Music, with distinction in Visual, and with distinction in General Effect, and will be advancing to ISSMA Scholastic State Finals on October 23rd at Franklin Central High School. This is truly an outstanding accomplishment.
I would encourage our community to support the many events this week leading up to Fall Break. Tomorrow watch our choir students perform, Wednesday come out for our band concert, and Thursday join our music, world language and culinary departments for our Global Fair. In addition, we are wishing our Lady Rocks Volleyball Team best of luck in their sectional play on Thursday as well!

Trimester 1 Finals Information
Pending approval from our school board tomorrow night, final exams will now be 15% of the trimester grade instead of 20% as indicated in the handbook.
Please make these days a priority. If you will be gone for any reason, please contact Assistant Principal Denver Wade to make arrangements. You can email him at waded@wws.k12.in.us. We do not allow students to take finals early with the exception of extreme medical circumstances.
We encourage students and parents to communicate with teachers and to do their very best going into finals.

Five Westfield High School Students Named National Merit Semifinalists!
Approximately 16,000 Semifinalists have recently been named in the 67th annual National Merit Scholarship Program. We are so proud to share that Westfield High School seniors Nathaniel Hand, Anna Kantar, Madysen Rauch, Samuel Schmidt, and Mehreen Zakaria have earned a spot on that list!
These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 7,500 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $30 million that will be offered next spring. To be considered for a Merit Scholarship® award, Semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition. About 95 percent of the Semifinalists are expected to attain Finalist standing, and approximately half of the Finalists will win a National Merit Scholarship, earning the Merit Scholar® title.
Good luck to these five Shamrocks!!
