NORTHWEST NETWORK MISSION, VISION & CORE VALUES
A MESSAGE FROM THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR..........
Dear Lee A. McShan Jr. Faculty & Staff,
Good afternoon. My name is Ms. Angie Torres, the new Executive Director of the Conrad/Thomas Jefferson feeders in the Northwest Cluster. I have had the distinct privilege of working alongside Dr. Mark Ramirez during the creation of the principal profile, principal interviews as well as during Mrs. Carson-Kelly's transition to her new position.
Therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce two important individuals who will be partaking very important roles on the campus for the 2018-19 academic school year. McShan's new principal will be Ms.Cecilia Criner and the assistant principal will be Mr. Aaron McAdams. Please take a moment to read both of their biographies below. Formal introductions will be made prior to the start of the school year and Ms. Criner and Mr. McAdams will be informing you of that information in the weeks to come.
Thank you to those who played a vital role in the process of the principal selection during the community panel interviews at the beginning of the summer break. It was a pleasure meeting and getting to know each of of you during this time.
Please take the opportunity to welcome Ms. Cecelia Criner and Mr. Aaron McAdams to McShan's Mustang Family as the new Administration Team.
Educationally,
Angie Torres

MEET MS. CECILIA CRINER, LEE A. MCSHAN'S NEW CAMPUS PRINCIPAL
Salutations! I am so excited to be named the next principal of McShan Elementary!
I received my undergraduate degree from Angelo State University in San Angelo, Texas, my Masters at Amberton University in Garland, my teacher certification at Paul Quinn College and my Principal certification at University of Texas in Arlington.
My career in education began at Northside Elementary in DeSoto ISD, where I taught 3rd grade for six years before coming home to Dallas ISD. As a product of Dallas ISD, not only was I a student, but I also served as an Assistant Principal at S. C. Foster Elementary for six years. Following my time at Foster Elementary, I became the principal at L. L. Hotchkiss in 2009 until 2018. Due to the reconfiguration of the ACE program, I was afforded the opportunity to apply for the position of McShan Principal.
I come from a long line of proud Dallas ISD products. I graduated from South Oak Cliff High School, my daughter graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School and my mother is a retired Dallas ISD teacher. As you can see, Dallas ISD is where my heart is.
I believe that every child should receive a quality education by any means necessary. In order for us all to be successful, we must operate in a collaborative school environment involving our stakeholders while establishing partnerships with parents and community partners.
During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
I look forward to meeting the McShan learning community and all its stakeholders and begin building strong relationships that will truly be positive, nurturing and collaborative in nature.
MEET MR. AARON MCADAMS, LEE A. MCSHAN'S NEW CAMPUS ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL
I am excited about the upcoming school year and the opportunity to serve Dallas ISD as McShan’s new Assistant Principal. I have been part of the McShan family for the past six years as the academic coordinator and an instructional coach. This will be my 23rd year in education. Prior to McShan, I have worked in two other districts as a teacher aide, a teacher, an instructional coach, an assistant principal, and a principal. I am eager to return to campus administration, and I am excited to continue with the McShan family in our pursuit of excellence!
I have a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies/Teacher Certification and a M.Ed. In Educational Leadership and Policy Studies.
My wife, Michelle is currently a campus principal in the Northwest ISD. My son Marshall will be a high school senior this year, and my daughter Izzy will be a freshman.
