From the Athletic Office...
Titan Athletes of the Month
Olivia Scott- Lacrosse
Sport: Girls Lacrosse
Coach: Jessica Tuttle
Reason why you nominated this athlete:
Olivia is one of the hardest working athletes I have had the pleasure to coach. She is dedicated on and off the field. She works to excel in school and lacrosse. Being on the team for 4 years I've seen her grow exponentially as a person and player. Olivia exemplifies an ideal student athlete in our community.
She was named captain this season for us because of her hard work, determination and attitude. She works with her teams to problem solve and boost morale. She is someone that our coaches rely on to get the team back in focus, head in the game and to work their hardest to achieve success.
She works within the community to give back and stay in tune with current events. Olivia is the one who lets me know when certain activities are happening in the school.
Being one of the kindest people I know it has been an honor to coach her and I look forward to watching her success in her years ahead.
Olivia is the type of athlete who reminds you why you started coaching in the first place!
Ethan Ruller- Lacrosse
Sport: Boys Varsity Lacrosse
Coach: Rob Ruller
Reason why you nominated this athlete: Ethan has been a three year captain for our program and a four year starter for our program. He is the first to volunteer with our youth programs, and organizes all of our off season events for our club program. He was a first team All county goalie as a Sophomore, and has been recruited by some of the best schools in the country. He has been humble in his journey and works hard to make others better around him. His success on the field is also a pattern for him off the field. A High Honor roll with distinction member for all four years in school while taking multiple AP classes, Ethan has stretched himself throughout academic journey. On top of those successes this past year Ethan has decided to manage a Donor Match program for our program for Leukemia and has organized the event for this upcoming weekend. The hope being that his time and efforts will help someday find a match to help save someone’s life. He has verbally committed to Cornell University for the Fall of 2022 and he looks forward to helping them compete at the highest level in the Ivy League. From a sixth grader who was honored to be selected for the Monroe County citizen of the year, to finishing his career by giving back to the community, Ethan entails all that is necessary to making this program special.
