A Message from Mrs. Douthart
Principal, Five Forks Middle School
Hello FFMS Community!
Are you looking for a way to get involved at Five Forks Middle School? Well, we have a way for you to get connected by becoming a member of our 2019-2020 Local School Council.
What is Local School Council? It’s a group of at least seven members made up of parents, teachers, business members (who must also be parents), and other community members who meet directly with me, the principal, four times during the school year. During these meetings, we discuss our school’s Local School Plan for Improvement and all aspects of school accountability.
This year, we are excited to announce that our first meeting will kick off as a Brookwood Cluster Meeting. We will meet with the seven Local School Councils on September 30, 2019 at 8am at Brookwood High School. We will then have a break out meeting on the campus. Our next three meetings will be held at Five Forks starting at 8am on Friday, November 1st, and Friday, January 10th, and Friday, March 20th. Meetings usually last an hour; however, our first meeting may run a bit longer.
If you are interested in serving on the FFMS 19-20 Local School Council, please complete the form by clicking on the link below. I will be in touch in early August to give you additional details. Should we have an overwhelming response, we will hold elections in August to select the committee.
