Desertification
Desertification is when fertile land becomes a desert typically caused by drought, deforestation, and inappropriate agriculture. This problem is found in coastal Africa and south of the Sahara Desert.
Overpopulation
Overpopulation is the number of people in a location compared to its relevant resources that are needed for people to survive. It can cause an increase in birth rate, limit job opportunities, decrease mortality rates, increase immigration, and cause an unsustainable biome and depletion of resources. The problem is found in the Sub Sahara.
Apartheid
An apartheid is a policy, system of segregation, or discrimination on grounds of race. This problem is found in South Africa.
Genocide
Genocide is the assassination of a large group of people or race trying to extinguish the race for good. This problem is found in parts of Central, East, West Africa, and borders Northern Africa.
Civil Wars
Civil Wars are wars that are amongst citizens that live in the same country. There are 15 countries in Africa that are either are in a Civil War as of now or just got out of one.
Disease
Disease is a disorder of the body structure that can cause symptoms and effects that are not simply caused by a physical injury. Everywhere in Africa diseases are found, in some countries more than others but spread continuously throughout Africa and make there way to North America and other continents. Ebola is a perfect example.
How do Genocide's relate to lack of education?
The lack of basic education has caused propaganda not to be as effective which has caused major genocide because it is expressed as "hate mail" that has fueled violence.
How do Civil Wars relate to a lack of education?
Perpetrators are a cause of Civil Wars because they may be from a country that has a high amount of education compared to a person in their own country.
How do Disease's relate to lack of education?
In Africa, education is not of main priority therefore has caused the medical world there to be a bad way of dealing with the simplest things like colds, strep throat, or chicken pox that could be easily treated if you are educated enough to know how to treat them. How can you expect to treat widespread diseases if you can't treat a small one?

Rites of passage are ceremonies or events that state a important stage in a person's life such as the cycle of life: birth, puberty, marriage, and death.

Swahili
Swahili is a Bantu language that has an official status in several countries. It is widely used as a lingua franca in East Africa. Swahili is commonly used in east and southeast Africa also in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Mozambique, and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Polygamy
Polygamy is the practice of having more than one wife or husband at the same time. In middle east, northern, and southern Africa polygamy is widespread throughout these countries. In South Africa this practice is a customary law.
Bantu
Bantu is a family spoken language that is used by most populations in Africa. It is a major branch of the Niger-Congo. This language is used in every region of Africa.
