Literacy Center (formerly the library) Update
Staff,
Below are two articles to read as we prepare for our Literacy Center grand opening.
Because we are adding "leveled books" to our literacy center collection, we need to remember this is an educator term. Our first priority is about creating enjoyment and discovery through reading. We will be utilizing the literacy center to foster a love for reading and develop a capacity of students as life-long readers. The following is a living document of possible ideas that teachers can use during Literacy Center time to meet this goal.
· Read Aloud
· Shared Reading
· Guided Reading
· 10 Minute Guided Reading Lesson
