WELCOME TO THE NEW 4-H YEAR
The new 4-H year began on October 15!
PLEASE DO NOT delay getting your youth enrolled in Nebraska 4-H. The Nebraska State 4-H Office will impose a statewide enrollment deadline date that will assist counties in having a consistent timeline for processing membership enrollments across the state. Once that date is announced from the State 4-H Office, it will be released from the Extension Office. Missing this deadline will impact county fair eligibility!!!
Membership fees are $10 per youth for the entire membership year, regardless of how many project disciplines a 4-H member may decide to participate in.
***4-H youth planning to participate in Shooting Sports or any horse-related activities should also be ENROLLED online PRIOR to any practices or shooting activities due to safety and legal liabilities.
When (re)enrolling online at ne.4honline.com be sure to use FIREFOX or GOOGLE CHROME web browsers. Internet Explorer (e) or Edge is NOT compatible and may cause issues when processing the enrollment.
What does this all mean? ENROLL EARLY and don't miss out!
If you have any questions, please contact us:
Marcy Andersen, Office Manager: email at mandersen16@unl.edu or Amanda Davis, 4-H Youth Assistant: amanda.davis@unl.edu or phone the Extension Office at 308-645-2267
MESSAGE FOR ADULT LEADERS, PROJECT LEADERS, ETC.
Marketing of 4-H is very important! Moving into the new membership year, please include on any fliers, social media posts or newspaper articles that you may submit to "advertise" for participation, that it is a 4-H related activity/club/practice/project discipline area. Or at very least, include the 4-H emblem (such as the one pictured).
It is important that our community members, stakeholders, and local families and youth KNOW that the practices, events and activities taking place are in fact 4-H SPONSORED and led by committed, hard-working 4-H volunteers.
***4-H youth planning to participate in Shooting Sports or any horse-related activities should also be ENROLLED online PRIOR to any practices or shooting activities due to safety and LEGAL liabilities.
THANK YOU for helping "to make the best better!"
