Washington School News!
Thank you to the 4K families that were able to join us for the Homecoming Parade! It was a bit of a dreary day, but the smiles from the 4K students and the crowd along the parade route was worth it! We appreciate the hard work you put into making your wagon floats...they were so great!
Next week Monday, the 4K Outreach Event will be held at Cuff's Farm. Please read the information attached below. Please note: there will only be ONE hayride at 5:00PM! There will be several wagons available to us, but the wagons will be leaving at 5:00 so you must buy tickets and be ready to load the wagons prior to 5:00 if you want to participate in that event. There is a fee for the hayride, but all other activities are free. Please send an email to njsd4k@neenah.k12.wi.us with any questions. Payments for the hayride will be taken at Cuff's.
Beginning this week, our 4K students will be starting the Phonological Awareness Literacy Screening (PALS). This is literacy screening done for all 4K students throughout the state of Wisconsin. It will be done one-on-one with your child's teacher. Results will be shared during Parent Teacher Conferences at the end of this month.
Parent Teacher Conferences will be held on Wednesday, October 23rd from 4:00-8:00 PM and on Thursday, October 24th from 8:00AM-8:00PM. Conference request forms were sent home last week and are due back to your child's teacher by Wednesday, October 10th.
Have a wonderful week!
Thank you!
Ms. Stacie Brethouwer
Principal
