A Look Back at 2013
Wow! We can't believe it's 2014 already. Just like everyone else, there have been good times and bad this year. But we can honestly say that the Lord is faithful, and we have so much to be thankful for.
Here are a few family highlights:
Andrew, our youngest, is a freshman in high school now--hard to believe. He will be turning 15 in one month and is getting ready to start driver's ed! He played football this past fall and did really well.
Elizabeth is a sophomore in college--attending the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (her parents' alma mater!). She is majoring is elementary education and is planning to be an elementary teacher. She is the vice president of her long distance running club and has been dating a fine young man named Mitchell for several years.
Stephen just finished his bachelor's degree at Liberty University! He is now working full time on campus as an academic counselor and may begin his master's degree soon. He is dating a beautiful young lady named Crystal who is a nursing major at LU. We loved having them both home during a week in December.
David and Pam
As a couple, the most important milestone is that we celebrated 25 years of marriage this summer! We are still living near David's parents keeping an eye on them, and we both enjoy working in the youth department of West Conroe Baptist Church.
Pam just completed her Masters of Education a few weeks ago, and David has begun working with a ministry called International Commission.
David and International Commission--2014
David is starting 2014 hitting the road running with International Commission. He is the Area Associate for the Americas, which is a different role for David as it is more administrative and less "hands on". Most of his time will be spent training and encouraging area leaders from Mexico, Central America, and South America in conducting evangelism crusades.
-Pray for David as he meets with leaders in Mexico, Central America, and South America. He will be traveling to Nicaragua, Mexico, Columbia, and French Guyana in January and February.
-Please pray for all of the area leaders as they do much of the leg work. These four especially:
*Miriam Aguilar-Office Administrator and Venezuela Coordinator
*Laura Meloti-Office Administrator and Brazil Coordinator
*Francisco Nunez-IC consultant
*Daniel Caballero--Vice President of the Americas
In case you are wondering, IC is funded completely through gifts. We truly appreciate those of you who have given to help our family so that David can serve in this ministry. For those of you who would like to learn more about IC, please click on the link below.
