Claude Oscar Monet was born on November 14, 1840 in Paris, France.

Claude died on December 5, 1926 in Giverny, France of lung cancer.

He was second son of Claude Adolphe and Aubree Monet.

On May 20, 1841 he was baptized in the local church parish Notre-Dame-de-Lorette

as Oscar Claude. In 1845 his family moved to Le Havre in Normandy,

where he entered Le Havre secondary school of arts on April 1, 1851. Soon after

his mother died and he was forced to live with his Aunt. Monet traveled to paris and his painting years began!

Claude's type of style is he uses bold color, loose hand when he holds the pencil or whatever material he is uses at that time, and strikingly unconventional compositions

(meaning framed in different ways).

1878- He spent his time in Vetheuil during the Franco-Prussion war.

1883- Claude moved back to Giverny and stayed there for 43 years.

1926- Claude Monet died of Lung cancer.
