21 Sports ... 1 Team ... WE ARE HOBART!
I was working on this newsletter, late one night ...
When my emails showed an amazing sight ...
For the Brickies from their slumber, began to rise ...
And suddenly to my surprise
... you take it from here :)
With Halloween approaching this Wednesday (... and a full moon last week), things have gotten a bit scary as we officially close the book on Fall sports. Fortunately for us, we have some amazing kids and their stories to pull us through the horror and into November where we GIVE THANKS!
Right now, I'm thankful that it's time for BRICKSCENTER!
Cross Country
Holly raced at STATE last year and placed 121st overall on the challenging course with rolling hills. It was a great experience for her ... one that no doubt helped prepare her for this year as she returned with a purpose. In talking with Holly on Thursday, her goal for Saturday was simple - IMPROVE.
Naysayers, "Hey Holly, you peaked at semi-state, I bet you won't run any better than last year"
Holly, "Hold my Gatorade"
As the leaves turn into the beautiful colors of Fall, it was Holly who turned in a beautiful performance in her last cross country race as a Brickie! She covered the 5K course in 19:29 - a PR for the LaVern Gibson Course - and placed 60th OVERALL out of over 200 runners - an improvement by 61 spots over last year!!
Coach A had this to say about Holly's race ... "It was one of the best - if not THE best - race of her career. I would call this her personal best performance for sure."
It's safe to say that her race was SCARY GOOD!!!
CONGRATULATIONS HOLLY!
WE ARE VERY PROUD OF YOU!!
