LMS Tiger Talk
May 5, 2023
Principal's Message
With temperatures in the 40s this week, May certainly did not start off feeling like May, but things are starting to warm up and you could say the same for activities and events happening at LMS this month! May is a month filled with celebrations and capstone events for our students as we bring an amazing school year to it's finale. Every week has some great things happening for our students, brought to them by our amazing teachers and staff and we certainly got the party started this week.
Yesterday marked Interview Day for our 8th grade students at LMS. Interview Day is an opportunity for every single one of our 8th grade students to get to sit down for a real-life interview with parents and members from our awesome community. For most of our students, this is the first time they have ever been in the interview "hot seat" and they came ready to shine! This is such a wonderful day for our kids. Their nervous energy and excitement lights up the school (not to mention their sharp attire and preparation), and it's an LMS tradition that we all look forward to. Thank you Mrs. Jordan, Mrs. Pitcher, Mr. Croskey and Mr. Hartings for their coordination of the event here at school and to all the volunteers who joined us. It was a great day!
Next week marks Teacher Appreciation Week. If you have any kind words to pass along, this would be a great time for you to express a note of thanks to any of our our amazing staff members for the care and support they pour into our students, every single day. I can't tell you how much kind words from our families and students means to educators. If you have a minute and care to share gratitude with the staff who take care of your kids here at school, it would mean the world. We so appreciate ALL YOUR SUPPORT!
Enjoy what looks to be a beautiful weekend!
Take care and Go Tigers!

Students tap into their creativity to conceptualize and design innovative ideas and inventions. The weeklong camp is packed with hands-on activities where they learn special drawing techniques and showcase amazing inspirations by building beautiful prototype models.
