Week of the Young Child
The Week of the Young Child is April 20-27th and is a time to recognize that children's opportunities are our responsibilities and to recommit ourselves to ensuring that each and every child experiences the type of early environment--at home, at child care, at school and in the community--that will promote their early learning.
SPROUT Week of the Young Child Celebrations
Tuesday April 22nd
"Block Fest!" Playgroup and Imagination Library Enrollment
Time: 10-11am: 1 year olds; 11am-12pm: 2-3 year olds; 2-3pm: non walking children

A block extravaganza will be experienced at Sprout Playgroup! With 5 different block stations set up to encourage creative play, fine motor development and the power of team building with toddlers. FREE admission this week!
Thursday April 24th
"Sprout Olympics" in Anchor Point
Time: 9:25am-10:25am
@ Chapman School gym (please sign in at the front)
Join us at our Anchor Point Playgroup for our special event, Sprout Olympics! Set in stations, we will introduce swim strokes in our ball pit, hockey shots, tumbling and balance. A dance station in hopes that dance could be an Olympic event one day. Woohoo! Free admission this week!
Saturday April 26th
Imagination Library Storyhour
TIme: 11am-12pm

Join us for stories , crafts and activities at the restaurant! Free!
Sunday April 27th
Little Boppers Dance
Time: 10:30am-11:15am (0-5yrs)
@Off the Wall Studio
Get moving and have fun exploring a variety of dance and music with little ones and their grown-ups. Free!
Sunday April 27th
Story Tracks
Time: 2-4pm
@Wynn Nature Center
Come follow the story boards and read your way around the nature center then warm up around the bonfire, find animal tracks and play outdoors! Free community event!
Jill Lush and her new friend Dr. Barry Brazelton
Sprout Executive Director, Jill Lush, just returned from her graduation at the University of Massachusetts Boston Parent Infant Mental Health Certificate Program in Napa, California. Jill had an opportunity to receive training from many leading professionals in child development and infant mental health along with one of her favorites, Dr. Barry Brazelton. Way to go!

We Green Dot!
Sprout staff participated in Green Dot Training. At Sprout we are doing our part to prevent violence of all kinds. A green dot is simply an in individual choice we can make at any given moment to make our community safer.
