Good Friday Evening,

I hope everyone had a successful E-learning day and was able to stay safe with their power still available. We are blessed with teachers that can pull together assignments and post them on Schoology at a last-minute notice! This coming week is a full week with many family engagement opportunities as well. Families of all grade levels are invited to the Bee Advocacy that our IMPACT teachers have worked so hard to create as a whole school PBL. See the information below. Also, you should be very proud of your Sharks for working so hard last year as we won an SDPC Award this week as well! We can't wait to see you next week for a full week!

Scaly Adventures

Our partnership with Scaly Adventures continues to grow! We love having them in our building! Be on the lookout for a video starring two of our 5th graders regarding bullying.

K5 Field Trip

Our K5 students ventured to the Pickens County Library Story Walk to see a model for how to form their story walks for our very own nature trail!

Tied for # 1 Growth in the District

We are so excited to share that McKissick was awarded the # 1 Growth in the district based on SC Ready test scores in ELA and Math from May 2022, tied with Hagood Elementary. This is a testament to our teachers, students, coaches, and all staff that work tirelessly each and every day to ensure students are learning and growing! What an honor to lead the district in this way! Dr. Merck, our SDPC Superintendent, honored Mrs. Touchberry at the District Leadership Meeting this week.

September is Attendance Awareness Month

Congratulations to 4th grade for earning extra recess for having the highest percentage of students at school last week!

In addition to attendance, we need students here on time and all day! Please remember students need to be in their seat by 8am and need to stay until 2:30pm daily.

SHARK Spirit Rock

We have a new addition this year to our school! It's a spirit rock to be rented out by families to celebrate their student! The guidelines and sign up link is below. All proceeds will help fund our field trips this year!
