January 29, 2016

Hello, Mustangs!

I want to be sure that I send a special invitation to you in joining us for our Counselor's parent workshop, "The Growth Mindset." This is being presented by Erin Fitzgerald, Coordinator of Lexington One's Gifted and Talented Programs. This truly is a wonderful presentation for all parents! It is through the eyes of parents and what we can do to help our children. This workshop will be on Thursday, February 4, at 7:00 p.m. Do join us!

Many thanks to those of you who were able to donate blood Wednesday!!! This is truly a personal and meaningful service project for Midway. Several of our families have experienced needing blood for their children--our Mustangs. Thank you!!!

Next week is also the focus for our American Heart Association drive for support. Jump Rope for Heart will be on Friday so please make sure your child's tennis shoes or sneakers are ready for action on Friday. This is a physical workout for all of our Mustangs! Healthy hearts require exercise and healthy eating habits.

Please do enjoy this last weekend of January as we usher in February on Monday! Enjoy a great book with our children!

Yours truly,

Jan Fickling
