WBMS Friday Notes
November 13th-17th
Reflections from Ms. Perkins
WBMS parents and guardians –
This time of year, especially, I always take extra time to think about all for which I am grateful and the many blessings in life. Please know I count my new position within this community as one of them this year. Getting to know our students, families, and staff has been beyond wonderful. I hope you are all able to enjoy time with family and friends during our Thanksgiving break. Rest, relax, rejuvenate, and create memories together!
In collaboration,
Rebecca Williams Perkins
Principal, Webb Bridge Middle School

See Wonder and Help Support WBMS
Spend time with family and friends and help WBMS:
Many of you have probably heard of the new movie or read the book Wonder about a young boy with a facial deformity who begins the fifth grade with the support of his family. The story is inspirational with a clear message for audiences to accept those who are different.
We have an opportunity to enjoy this PG film, grow from its message, and help our school.
- $1.00 from every ticket to WONDER on opening weekend benefits Webb Bridge Middle School PTA and the programs for our students.
- This film is selling out. Don't wait! (In fact—any tickets bought before Sunday Nov 19th at midnight count! Even for showtimes on future dates.)
- If you would like to post or share the ticket link that benefits Webb Bridge Middle School PTA use:
You do not have to see the movie the 17th - 19th. You may buy tickets on any of those days for future shows and we will get credit as long as they are purchased before midnight on the 19th.
Also, if you are traveling out of town, you may can still use the link to buy tickets anywhere in the US.

Carpool Reminders
Carpool Safety at WBMS:
For the safety of our students, please follow our carpool safety guidelines:
- Our one and only carpool entrance is in the front of the building.
- Please drop and retrieve students in the front of the school. There is no drop off or retrieval in the bus area or by the music hall.
- Our carpool drop off and retrieval car line follows a signal (not double) lane. If the line is backed up in the circle, cars should wind around the parking lot.
- When approaching the front of the carpool line, please pull up to the yellow line (past the front entrance to the school).
- There is no parking in the carpool line or pick-up/drop-off circle for any reason.
- With one carpool entrance, we must be courteous of other drivers.
- Please remind your child to wait on the sidewalk close to the pick-up/drop-off area, watch for your vehicle, and not to cross in front of cars in the carpool lane.
Thank you for your cooperation.

Final Exam Reminders
In preparation for the transition to high school, final exams will be administered to students in all core subject areas: mathematics, language arts, science, social studies, world language, reading, and health. Most exams for each semester, in all grade levels, will be comprehensive in nature. No students will be permitted to take an exam early. Students who have an excused absence on the day of an exam must work with that subject area teacher to establish a time to make up the exam after receiving approval from the principal. Exams are scheduled and publicized through school communications. Students must make up exams within 10 school days after the end of each semester. Administration strongly encourages family travel not be scheduled during exam times.
