Wildcats are Off to a Great Start!
Last week was the first full week of school for teachers and students. Throughout the week, I saw students working diligently on skills for their classes. They were all busy learning and applying new skills. Students also spent the week learning new routines and expectations for each class. Our wonderful teachers were busy teaching, planning, and collaborating during the day. Meanwhile our other staff members were working hard to make sure everything was prepared and ready for students and teachers to make each day a success. I also want to recognize our EV families who worked to make sure the students were prepared for each day.
It truly takes everyone working together to make our students successful. Thank you to everyone for a wonderful first week of school.

NWEA Testing
All students in grades 1-5 will take the NWEA test sometime during the next two weeks. This test is a universal screener to help us learn more about our students in the areas of reading and math.
"NWEA is a research-based, not-for-profit organization that supports students and educators worldwide by creating assessment solutions that precisely measure growth and proficiency—and provide insights to help tailor instruction."(www.nwea.org)
Kindergarten will test later in September.
Quarantined Students
If a student is placed in quarantine, they will be marked as a virtual learner for attendance purposes. All absences will be excused if they student completes the absent work. The student's teacher will contact the parents to discuss the virtual learning plan for the duration of the quarantine. If you have a student in quarantine, and the learning plan has not been communicated please contact the office so we can help you.
