Important Fun Run Infomation - Please Read

The Fun Run is our annual - and only - fundraiser supporting the Anchor Pointe Parent Teacher Organization. Every Pre-K-5th grade child will participate in the Fun Run and will receive a free t-shirt. The event is held during the school day on Friday, April 9th, 2021. Times will be scheduled for each grade to run. This year's Fun Run theme is "Sports City Now," a fitness theme all about inspiring students to be active and activate their character.

Although restrictions remain in place for visitors entering our building, we are pleased to be able to open this event to a limited number of spectators. The following protocols will be required for attendance at this event:

  • Only 2 spectators per family will be allowed
  • Spectators MUST be pre-registered to attend - click the button below to pre-register
  • Face coverings are required
  • Spectators check-in upon arrival
  • Spectators must maintain 6' distancing from others and remain in the designated spectator zone, no congregating after the run

We believe that these precautions and restrictions give our students and families the best chance to stay healthy and participate in school events. Thank you for your cooperation!

Student Fun Run registration kicks off on Wednesday, March 31st - watch for materials soon!

Tips for Success in NSCAS Reading and Math Tests

Attendance is a MUST

Please avoid scheduling appointments or vacation time on your child's testing dates.

Get enough sleep and eat a good breakfast

This is probably the most underrated tip!

Encourage reading

Good reading skills factor heavily in a timed test, so help motivate your child to read by offering fun and interesting materials. Ask questions about what your child is reading for insight into progress he/she is making in reading comprehension.

Chat with your child

Testing measures critical thinking. Ask your child to discuss his/her ideas and voice their opinions often to stimulate thought processes.

Communicate with your child's teacher

Your child's teacher is your partner in monitoring their overall academic progress.

Relax and remain positive

The best test takers are calm, confident, and at ease!
