Quarter Two and Report Cards
Today marks the start of Quarter two! Please discuss with your child the importance of maintaining organization, good study skills, and completing all assignments on time. Quarter one report cards and assessment results will be sent home Friday. Please review all reports sent home with your child, sign, and return the report card envelope to your child's homeroom teacher.
Fall Conferences
Please check your email for our conference sign-up. We will be hosting Zoom or phone conferences on November 11 and November 15. The sign-up was e-mailed last week.
Charge Your Chrome Book
It is very important your child charges their Chrome Book each evening. Please set aside a place for them to plug the computer in and help remind them to plug it in until a routine and habit develops. Thank you for your support!
Skyward
Skyward is an excellent tool for checking your child's current grades, staying up-to-date on missing assignments and late work, checking messages sent by Chatfield staff through email, and managing your child's hot lunch account. Additionally, you are able to set up to receive a weekly notification if a missing assignment is recorded in your child's grade book or if the grade drops below a specific percentage. If you do not currently have a login to your Skyward account, you can visit or call the main office. You can also use your child's login credentials. Please let us know if you have any questions on how to use Skyward.
The Google Classroom
Your child will have access to Google Classroom where all assignments for math, ELA, science and social studies will be shared. We will spend time the first two weeks of school understanding all of the important features of the Google Classroom. Below is a tutorial created by Mrs. Boyle we strongly encourage all parents to view and reference should they have questions about Google Classroom. Students will be required to view the tutorial as part of a class assignment. Please take the time to view the tutorial and let us know if you have any questions.
