A word from Miss Mackay
Wow, what a busy week! We've managed to squash in: pupil progress meetings, lesson observations, an EYFS Sports Day, a Year 6 pantomime, a practice lock down, a Leavers' Assembly, a special firefighters' assembly, lots of Governor visits (thank you Claire, Kelly and Rebecca) and finished today with a Golden Lunch and Assembly. Congratulations to those children who have received 300 Dojos in June.
It is our Super Sixes last day today and it is with both excitement and sadness that we wish them all good luck for their new journey. I am sure we will see some faces returning to let us know how they have all been getting on.
Thank you to the parents that have completed the Parent Survey already. If you haven't had a chance yet, please use the link below to help us know how we are doing and how we can improve.
We love hearing from you on Class Dojo and seeing pictures sent in from home. Can I please remind all parents that staff do not always have Dojo open during the day and that messages about pick ups/absence/illness still need to be communicated through the office by telephone or in person.
I have included lots of pictures of the children's learning this week so I hope you manage to find out what your child has been up to by talking about the pictures at home. Mrs Butterfield has written a short piece following up from the Year Three's piece last week about the Wildlife Challenge. Please scroll down to have a read.
If the weather reports are correct we are all due a bit of a heatwave. I hope you have lots of fun in the sun. Remember to drink lots of water and put your sun cream on. On Wednesday, we will be having our transition morning. I have included details of your child's new class below. So please scroll down.
Best wishes
Miss Mackay
p.s. A polite reminder asking any dog owners to not chain or tie their dogs to the school fence/gate. Thank you.

30 Days Wild
During the month of June, the children in Year 3 have been taking part in ’30 Days Wild’ - the UK’s month-long nature challenge. I set the children the task of trying to complete 30 random acts of wildlife and they have amazed me with their determination to complete the challenge. I’ve loved looking at the evidence they have provided; some children have sent photos via Class Dojo, others have produced drawings and paintings, fact files, objects for our nature table and poems they have written. A special mention must go to Autumn, who completed over half of the 30 challenges! Well done Year 3 - I hope you enjoyed engaging with nature!
