Note from the Principal (Mr. Semmler)
REMINDER: Notifying the school when we hear rumors.
Dear DLJHCharger Families,
As your principal, I am writing to you today to address some rumors that have been circulating in our school community. I want to assure you that we take the safety and security of our campus very seriously, and we are committed to ensuring that our students feel safe and supported while they are here.
In order to maintain a safe and secure learning environment for everyone, we need your help. We ask that you reinforce the following security measures with your child and encourage them to speak up if they learn of any specific incidents of students doing something wrong at school. We also encourage you to reach out to us directly if you have any questions or concerns.
You can report crimestoppers issues anonymously by calling the LCISD phone number:
LCISD Crime Stoppers Tips Line
(832) 223-8477
Or, you can always e-mail me directly and I will make sure to keep the information confidential.
We also pay money to students who come forward and report issues. A student can earn up to $50 if the incident breaks a crime, and less if it is breaking a school rule.
We believe that it takes a team of students, parents, and school staff working together to keep our school safe. By partnering with us and upholding our safety standards, we can ensure that Leaman remains a safe and welcoming place for all of our students.
Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter, and please do not hesitate to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns.
Sincerely,
Michael Semmler

School Board Recognition Month
Lamar CISD Communications
January 2, 2024 – Rosenberg, Texas – The month of January has been declared as School Board Recognition Month by Texas Governor Greg Abbott and the Texas Association of School Boards (TASB).
Our District is proud to celebrate the Lamar CISD Board of Trustees this month, and every day. This year’s theme is “locally elected, community connected,” which highlights the bond among our Trustees, families, staff, and partners in education.
“Only two people do this [education] for free – our students and our Trustees,” Lamar CISD Superintendent Dr. Roosevelt Nivens’ said. “I’d like to thank every Trustee for the countless hours and important decisions they make – all with the best interest of our students in mind.”
Lamar CISD currently serves more than 44,600 students and continues to grow. All seven Board members are volunteers from our community who help the District make decisions that ensure student access to a superior education through inspired leadership. Our Trustees include:

ON-Z
Joshua Onyenobi was nominated by Ms. Burton
Joshua always stays after class to help me plug-in technology or clean up the room. I have never asked him to stay, he just notices when other students have not followed directions and have left a mess and always helps me to put the room back together.

Academic UIL Success for Leaman
Thanks to all of the students and teachers who worked so hard this past Saturday at Academic UIL held at Briscoe Junior High. Both the 7th and 8th grade came in 2nd out of 6 Junior High Schools and Roberts Middle School came in 1st place out of the 6 Middle Schools.
Once again this just proves to our community how wonderful our students are, how talented they are, and when situations are created by teachers for them to succeed, they step up to the challenge and prove that the future is bright in Fulshear, TX.
