Pine Street Elementary School

Halfway There!

January marks our mid-year point with the semester ending on January 17th. Although we are on trimesters, our health and conflict resolution classes flip-flop at the mid year point. Happy New Year!

Parking at Pine

Please do NOT park in the BUS CIRCLE in any of the parking spaces 8:15-9:00 and 3:15-4:00. We need to keep the circle clear for busses. Also, if you park in the spaces during that time, you may not be able to get out due to bus circle traffic. Please park on the street at those times. This is for everyone's safety.

Recess will be indoors if the wind chill is below 25 degrees. When it is 25 degrees or higher, students will be outdoors. Please make sure your child is dressed for outdoor recess. Brrrrr!

Come out for Math Literacy Night - Pine Street - January 14th - 7:00-8:00 p.m.

Parents/Guardians and students: Come out and see what's happening in math instruction! There will be demonstrations, games, displays, and all kinds of math to try! Adults can travel through the activities with their children and learn how we approach math instruction. We hope you will join the fun!

Caring Tree

Thank you to all those who showed caring by placing non-perishable food and other products under our Holiday Tree in the lobby. The elementary division as a whole contributed 1,380 lbs! We would like to give a big shout out to Long's Nursery for their generous donation of four trees - one for each elementary school.

Alternate Dismissal

Please Note: If your child is to be dismissed in an alternate manner (parent pickup instead of bus, for instance), you MUST PROVIDE A PARENT SIGNATURE ON A NOTE sent to school. Please DO NOT email requests to teachers during the day. If you have forgotten to send a note or if something comes up during the day, please FAX A NOTE to the office or call the office for instructions on how to fax us. This is for your child's safety. Thank you!
