TEA Checklist
1. ELPS training complete by Wednesday staff meeting
2. ELL tracking sheet up to date with January information ( as of 1/31), Dreambox, Istation ISIP score, Guided Reading level (DRA level, if finished)
3. ELL and Sped working folders, (work samples and intervention strategies) will check these on 2/1
4. Special Population notebooks organized and accessible to you
5. ELPS included on lesson plans in Eduphoria
6. ELPS poster displayed in classroom (will give these to you at our meeting)
* Be able to discuss our special education program, your special education students, and exactly how you accomodate for them.
* Be able to discuss how our ESL students are serviced, the use of ELPS, and the function of the LPAC committee.
Questions to ponder ... we will discuss answers at our meeting Wednesday, along with food and fun!
1. What kind of intervention do you use for oral language development?
2. How do you get a beginner student to the next level?
3. What is the ESL program model for our campus?
4. What kind of monitoring system is in place to keep track of the language process of your students?
5. How do you know the language levels of your ELLs?
6. How do you get information regarding LPAC decisions for your ELLs?
Sped
1. How do you provide input for the IEP meetigs?
2. What do you do when you have students that you feel are not being successful?
3. How are critical parts of the IEP communicated to you as a general ed teacher?
4. What evidence do you have that accommodations and/or modifications are provided?
5. How do you support specially designed instruction for students with an IEP?
6. What support in implementing IEPS do you receive from special education?
